Because of the poor attendance, we decided to postpone the formal ISC meeting to a later date.
We discussed the revised MoU text proposed by Falko and an MfN legal expert. The revised MoU text largely follows the original MoC text, but the text has been structured in sections, and the draft adds several sections, which serve to strengthen the legal standing of the agreement. These changes and additions are regarded as uncontroversial by NRM and MfN.
The revised MoU has one important change, which is still being discussed among the core DINA partners: it suggests an obligation of core partners of entering into development contracts with each other. In the previous MoC proposal, such contracts were optional. This point needs further discussion among partners intending to enter the new agreement as core members. We are also discussing whether we should implement different terms of notice for development tasks on one hand, and maintenance and support of the code base of approved core DINA components on the other. It may be appropriate to apply a longer term of notice for the latter.
See the DINA ISC Redmine instance for more details of the ongoing discussion.
